I've browsed through this book a couple of times at the bookstore, and I finally decided to actually buy it, and I'm very pleased.
The book is similar to that of "ART TODAY", but focuses mainly on those contemporary artists of the present. Just flipping through this book evokes my joy of gallery-hopping in Chelsea NYC, where I used to live.

The majority of these "young" artists were born between 1960-1965. John Currin, Jake & Dinos Chapman, Moriko Mori, Tom Friedman, Andreas Gursky, Damien Hirst (to name a few) are the sort of artists represented in this book. The text is written in English, German, and French. Each artist is allotted four pages, which consist of a text description of their most recent works, reproductions of the works (installation views included), and recent exhibition and suggested biographies for further information.

Also interesting are the pages at the end of the book which give further information about the usual $USD price ranges for sold work of each artist. And there is an additional city guide which lists the addresses of contemorary art galleries in major cities across the globe.

Overall, this is a wonderful "catalog" type of book for anyone interested in contemporary art. My only complaint is that some of my favorite artists were not included, Jenny Saville to name one.
